Description:
This is a Uberti 1873 in .44-40 caliber. Made in Italy, this Winchester replica is heavily engraved by A&A Engraving of Rapid City SD, is stamped " 146 of 300 " and this issue is closed. This rifle is part of Uberti's "America Remembers" Tribute series and commemorates "the lives and legends of Wm. F. Cody and the Scouts of the Western Frontier". Other engravings depict Wild Bill Hickok, Jim Beckwourth, Kit Carson and Jim Bridger.This rifle offers a rear tang spirit level tangent peep sight and octagonal barrel. According to "America Remembers" producers, the rifle is "decorated in 24-carat gold on the lever, receiver, crescent buttplate, end cap and magazine cap. The hammer is case-hardened."Condition: Metal is excellent, no dents, but there is an obvious scratch on the left receiver flat and a scratch on the left magazine tube; Wood is walnut with a few small dings, checkering remains sharp and crisp. No cracks or chips; Rifle appears unfired.
