Description:
This Woodsman was made in 1939 and therefore utilizes the "high speed" mainspring housing to indicate that it can accomadate modern high velocity ammunition. The barrel is 6 5/8 inches long and of straight tapered configuration that was used the last few years of the pre WWII production. Both the front (elevators) and rear (windage) sights are fully adjustable. It is hard to believe that this Woodsman is 76 years old as it is in excellent condition. The blue is easily 97% with only a few very small spots. The bore is perfect and the original checkered wood grips are excellent as well. There is only one very small "ding" in the metal on the right side of the slide, just ahead of the grasping serrations. Most examples that we see of this vintage are not nearly as nice as this and it would be a great addition to a collection. PRICE: $895 2% discount for cash or check payment.
