Springfield 1884 Trapdoor Saddle Ring Carbine. 45/70 cal. Arsenal mark on stock is 478. C marked carbine sight. Sight is worth $800 if you can find one. No heavy pitting. Wood/wear dings in stock but OK. Good bore. Saddle ring and base original and intact. Good mechanical. These guns are hard to find and it has the C marked sight. Good collectible Springfield. Should only shoot with the correct blackpowder loads. All old firearms should be inspected by a certified gunsmith prior to shooting. I have many others for sale, military and commercial.
