Description:
Charles Boswell was a master gunmaker in England and primarily crafted guns to order, "bespoke" guns. This appears to be a semi-standard model with dense Acanthus engraving. The mounted forearm is a beavertail pattern in walnut. The original splinter of walnut is included.

Chambers: 2-3/4 Inch. Note: Not marked on the gun. Chamber measures about 3" to the forcing cone.
Metal Condition: Very good. Bluing on barrel is complete but appears slightly faded. Receiver has very sharp engraving, and the coined areas are quite bright. There are some light handling marks as it is a field gun, but very well cared for.
Wood Condition: Very good. Generally very good but does have a couple small dents in the stock. One near the oval and the second on the right side. Neither measures over 1/2
Bore Condition: Bright and shiny
