Description: This rare dagger measures 13 1/2" overall with an 8 3/8" straight, single-edged blade that has most of the original bright polish remaining on the forte and moderate-heavy grind marks at the tip on both sides. The "Alles fr Deutschland" motto is still crisp, as is the "HACO/BERLIN" roundel trademark on the reverse. The hilt fittings are in very good condition and have bright nickel with a few scattered spots of freckling and a crisp "B" (Gau Berlin) marking on the reverse of the counterguard. The hardwood grip is moderately worn and retains about 75% of the original varnish and the S.A. rune inlay and eagle are in fine shape. The metal scabbard has a few minor dents along the body and retains traces of the original brown anodized finish with a mixed brown-gray patina on the balance and specks of brown freckling throughout. HACO-made daggers are quite desirable in any condition and this example is in good plus condition. SOLD Manufacturer: German Model: Dagger |
