Description:
As stated in the Winchester Letter " octagon extra heavy". Bbl length is 26" and cal 40-82. This gun is also equipped with a set trigger. Good looking rifle with an aged medium brown patina to the bbl and mag tube. Receiver has very faint case colors remaining with the balance turning a brown/grey color. Buttstock has numerous handling mars but is nice, solid and good overall cond. Forearm is also VG with just one light crack in the upper corner by the forend cap. All wood is present. Also an important fact is that this gun comes with a hand written letter from George Madis. Winchester letter accompanies it. 1886's with the extra heavy bbl are rare. A very good collector's piece!
