Description:
This would be the model 1878 mid-range rifle. 40 cal 1-7/8" straight case Sharps. 30" bbl with the "Old Reliable" marking and also "Sharps Rifle Co" marking. Beautiful blue on this bbl with hardly any wear and just a little bit of freckling in places. The inside is just as nice with an extraordinary bore. The receiver has nearly all case colors remaining. Dimming somewhat but still very visible. Wood matches cond with the rest of the gun being very good right down to the buttplate. A very rare gun being one of about 200 that were made. Very nice collectable rifle!
