Description:
Serial #964077, .30-06, 24" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This rifle has a 1918 manufactured receiver mated to a 2-19 dated, Avis replacement barrel and retains about 25% of the original blue with most of the metal having developed a mottled gray patina with silvering along the high and exposed edges as well as along the bearing surfaces of the straight-handled bolt. The walnut handguard and stock have scattered minor handling marks and blemishes under an armory re-applied oil finish that has left a partially visible cartouche on the left side of the wrist. The floorplate has been extensively cleaned to bright gray and there is an armory repair at the toe of the butt at the rear swivel. This is a very nice World War I '03 that is in very good condition overall. FFL or C&R
