Description:
Serial #AM1186, .22 LR, 25” Parker-Hale marked barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a BSA-made, 1916 dated, Mk. III* rifle converted to rimfire trainer that has matching numbers on the bolt and nosecap with the metal retaining 85-90% of the armory re-applied blue finish added during the rimfire conversion that has silvering with some sparse brown freckling on some of the exposed edges and surfaces. The “22No.2” marked bolt has a freckled gray bolt-head and there is a small C.A.I. import marking on the right side of the receiver. The walnut buttstock has a dark military oil finish with a rectangular repair on the right side just ahead of the charger guide and numerous small handling marks and minor blemishes scattered about the remaining wood. A canvas SMLE sling with faded whitewashed finish is installed and an empty magazine body is included (no follower or spring). This is a very nice No. 2 trainer that has rare Air Ministry markings and is in very good plus condition overall. FFL or C&R
