Description:
An overall excellent condition WWII Remington 1903 in .30-06. Rifle has high serial number of 3,013,xxx with a Hi Standard barrel dated 5-44. Nice proofs, etc. and original finish. Receiver is drilled and tapped for the Redfield one piece base for the sniper scopes and rumor has it that the scope and mounts were removed from this rifle years ago by the previous owner. Forestock has an arsenal repair which I assume was done when the gun was rearsenaled in late WWII. Nice bore and chamber and I suppose it could be put back to sniper configuration if one wanted to as I see lots of repro bases, rings, and scopes available. Priced to sell and not sit on the shelf.
