Both guns:
- 10 gauge, #3 frame
- 32 inch barrels
E grade gun:
- Sharp engraving on locks, some wear to engraving on bottom of receiver
- Damascus barrels
- Barrels are stripped of finish.
- Bores have scattered pits. I've done nothing with the bores. Apparently full chokes.
- Locks up tight, everything functions well.
- In the pictures the gun has the buttstock from the parts gun (see comments below).
- Metal butt plate with spur, missing grip cap.
Parts gun:
- Field grade, probably S grade.
- Twist steel barrels
- Bores are deeply pitted, rib loose at muzzle (see comments below)
- Missing right hammer, buttstock is on the E grade gun
I bought these two guns separately over 20 years ago with the intention of restoring the E grade gun with its original Damascus barrels and using the barrels from the parts gun as the basis for a second set of sleeved 12 ga modern steel barrels (they fit very tightly on the E grade frame so they can be fitted) . I intended also to use the stock of the parts gun as a pattern for a new stock. Unfortunately I'm getting old and have so many other projects that I'll never get to this one. If you're interested in taking this on, I'm selling the gun for what I have in it rather than parting it out.
