Colt 1911 45ACP 5”barrel- This pistol is a Colt 1911U.S. Army made in 1918. This is United States Property marked and Army proofed. The barrel is proofed marked with a P proof and H inspector stamp for Francis L. Hosmer. The frame also has a mark for Army Inspector of Ordnance Major Gilbert H. Stewart or GHS. The pistol has original finish with original diamond wood grips. The finish has normal wear from service use and some pitting on slide and frame. Pistol has all original period parts except for the magazine. Pistol has bright bore.
