Description:
Merkel 147EL SxS Boxlock 20 Gauge. 28" barrels have 3" chambers, choked improved cylinder and modified and has a tapered, matted, solid rib with a brass beaded front sight. The Greener type crossbolt receiver is lavishly engraved with deep relief game scenes and features double triggers, extended trigger guard, ejectors, cocking indicators, side clips and double barrel lumps making for a rock solid lockup. The English straight grip walnut stock and forend are striking with highly figured triple x wood, extended checkering and a glossy oil finish. Weighs 6 1/4 lbs. and the stock deminsions are LOP: 14 3/8"; DAH: 1 3/8" & DAC: 2 1/2". Includes a Merkel leather covered travel (hard) case, manual and other papers.
