Browning Sako FINLAND .308 Win Safari PENCIL Barrel 1964 Rifle This is an for a Browning Safari Grade .308 Winchester caliber Bolt action Rifle that was made in FINLAND in 1964. It has polished blued steel "Sako" style Medium bolt action with chromed bolt as seen in the photo. The engraved floorplate is hinged and the checkered stock is Walnut with a raised cheek piece. and a twenty two inch polished blue steel PENCIL barrel. It has the Browning synthetic butt plate and sling mounts. The Rifle was manufactured without a front sight. It comes with a LEUPOLD 2 X 7 VAR-x Duplex adjustable power scope. The checkering is fine, sharp and appears to be generally damaged. The rifle sling is also included. The serial number indicates a 1964 manufacturing date which is prior to the SALT period of Browning manufacturing cycle. During this period SAKO made a limited quantity of Guns for Browning. There are some light scratches and various nicks in the wood from handling as seen in photos. Note the photos of handling marks are magnified to enable to see the extent. Buyer to pay $35 for shipping and insurance. A signed FFL or C&R license is required for transfer. No sales tax for out of state purchasers but New York State residents are required to pay 7% sales tax. I have a walk in Gun Shop so I reserve the right to remove this item from if there are no bids and I have a local buyer. This was my personal Deer hunting rifle for the past 45 years and it has had less than 4 boxes of ammo through it. I am out of the Hunting game and it is time for it to move on to someone who can appreciate and enjoy a Rifle and Scope combination that weighs less than 8 pounds. Note the photos taken outside are too light in color while the photos taken inside show a white streak that is not present. The cost of shipping and insurance is $38.00
