SUPERIOR WINCHESTER WINDER MODEL 1885 HIGH WALL 2ND MODEL .22 LONG RIFLE CAL. MUSKET CA. 1920. 28” barrel stamped at left breech “22 LONG R”. 100% original and complete except rear barrel sight which is missing and replaced by the rare Lyman Windgauge tang sight. The two tap holes on the barrel are the original factory tap holes where original military style rear sight abutted the frame. The Winchester proof normally seen at the breech is moved forward 6" in order to not be covered by the original rear barrel sight attesting to their originality. Globe front sight. Brilliant example and would be very near mint save the light flaking on the frame. 98% original blue and all the original factory finish on the stock and forend. Has seen almost no use. Mint bore and perfect working order. Original sling. One of the very last ones produced after WW1.
