SUPERB WILLIAMS & POWELL SIMPLEX HEAVY DUCK 12 BORE DOUBLE HAMMERGUN CIRCA 1875. Weighs 7 lbs. 9 ozs. 30” Damascus barrels engraved on the rib “WILLIAMS & POWELL (SIMPLEX) 25 SOUTH CASTLE ST. LIVERPOOL”. 2 ¾” original chambers. Pre choke bored barrels measuring improved cylinder in each. Ornate scroll engraved case colored lock plates signed “WILLIAMS & POWELL”. Case colored hammers and blued engraved steel mounts. Double triggers. Deluxe checkered walnut full pistol grip stock and matching forend. Trigger guard with double rifle reinforcing tang extending the full length of the grip to the cap to strength it for use with heavy waterfowl loads. 14” pull to checkered butt with engraved heal and toe plates. 100% original with 98% of the brown Damascus finish on the barrel and nearly all the original case hardening colors and bright charcoal blue. Wood with all the original French polish finish. Perfect working order and mint bores. Exceptional quality and condition.
