Description: Fox Sterlingworth 12 Gauge SxS Shotgun PHILLY, EJECTORS, 80% CASE COLOR General Specs: AH Fox, Year 1921, 12 Gauge, 7lbs 3oz, Side by Side Serial Number: 91636 Fox made A LOT of Sterlingworth 12ga. guns and you can buy them any day you want at reasonable prices. And why not? The Sterlingworth is the same mechanical gun as the finest Fox ever made. There is no doubt in my mind that the Sterlingworth is the very best buy in the vintage American double gun market. Most were "used hard and put away wet" gathering meat for the family, and hence the good prices. This gun, sn91636 made in 1921, is an exception as it retains a boat load of factory case color, perfect screws, and really nice wood. It has the heavier weight #2 barrels for shooting heavier loads, but still weighs only 7lbs. 3oz.. The gun has been shot very little with barrels tight as new on hinge and breech face with the lever way right of center. AND IT HAS STRONG, WELL TIMED EJECTORS, a feature rarely seen on Sterlingworth guns. If you are going to buy a Sterlingworth for the field and your favorite clays game, it would be hard to find a better purchase than this one, which is priced to sell and a grand representative of what a near new Fox Sterlingworth looked like in its day. A great investment gun that will grow in value as you enjoy its use. We can add a pad for more LOP or bend the gun to your specs within 15 days of purchase. Our in house gunsmith can alter chambers and chokes as well. Thanks for looking!
