Description:
I am selling my Benchrest rifle. I bought it from Bob Pease many years ago. He told me that the barrel may be shot out, and it was, so I had it rebarrelled by Tooley. It has probably not had more than 100 or so rounds since then. The gun has a Weaver T36 scope on it and weighs 12lb. 6 oz. It has a 2oz trigger.
The rifle does have a.246 neck (barrel is so marked) so the buyer MUST have a way of outside turning necks. Match accuracy will be obtained using a straight line bullet seater and Arbor press, primer pocket uniformer and match bullets like Bergers, Fowlers etc. Now I have included a picture of the underneath of the stock. Towards the end of the forend, there is a place where a piece of wood has been inserted, presumably where the hand stop was located. The job was VERY well done and hard to see unless you look very closely. I would rate the gun as very good to excellent condition.
