S&W model 38/44 (OUTDOORSMAN) in .38 SPECIAL CAL., with 6 1/2" barrel. Color BLUE. NICE 38/44 OUTDOORSMAN, BORE IS EXCELLENT, DIAMOND GRIPS ARE VERY GOOD, MINOR DENTS ON BOTTOM OF BUTT. AS WELL AS TWO VERY SMALL INITIALS, STAR NEXT TO SERIAL NUMBER INDICATES THE GUN WAS SENT BACK TO SMITH AND WESSON, 90% ORIGINAL FACTORY BLUE. Condition 90%. Serial number 40307.
