CIVIL WAR MANSFIELD & LAMB U.S. MODEL 1860 CAVALRY SABER AND SCABBARD. DATED 1863. 42” o/a with 35” blade. Stamped on ricasso with the makers logo and “MANSFIELD & LAMB, FORESTDALE, R.I.” and on the obverse inspected “U.S./C.E.W./1863”. Excellent 100% original with most of the original polish on the blade and all the original gripleather and wire in extra nice condition. Unpolished brass hilt. Original steel scabbard in original condition with grey patina. Superior example.
