Description:
A very rare S&W Model 18-4, 4" barrel(not pinned), white outline rear sight and red ramp front (added-not factory) blue finish at approximately 98.5% condition on finish, some thinning at muzzle and bottom of trigger guard very minor freckling, also has the standard cylinder ring. Factory grips, serial number 203KXXX manufactured in 1982, the Model 18 was discontinued in 1985. Period correct box but appears to have been "remarked" so is it original to the gun? probably not, no papers or manual. This gun has German proof marks, the Ulm proof house antler, the eagle over N nitro proof, Ulm on the left side under the crane(see photos) it also has the eagle "N" proof on the cylinder face..I can only offer my opinion on this as S&W exports many guns to Germany so they must HAVE THE GERMAN PROOF MARKS TO BE SOLD, probably purchased by a serviceman in Germany and brought back to the U.S. Just a really nice revolver great for plinking or target.Contact me with any questions you may have. Sold ONLY to FFL by individual, actual shipping charges for Priority with insurance.
I will listen to reasonable offers.
