PRE-WAR COLT MODEL 1911-A1 COMMERCIAL AUTO PISTOL .45 acp caliber, 1940 mfg. Finished blue with checkered walnut grips. Retaining 98-99% original factory blue with only a small scratch under the take-down lever, and a few light marks on the front strap (probably from wearing a ring) and on the bottom of the triggerguard. Excellent grips with only some minor evidence of handling on the right side. Mint bore. Appears very little used. In it's after market period wooden box with it's original shipping invoice dated 3/15/40.
