Description:
New, unfinished A.H. Fox 16 gauge, graded ejector shotgun kit, your choice of 28” - 32” barrels.  From the original A.H. Fox Factory surplus parts cache purchased by Mitzie Bielin, ________ employee/A.H. Fox Gunsmith (see McIntosh’s   A.H. Fox, The Finest Gun in the World  pg. 283) and acquired by Jason Barden’s Pumpkin Mountain Gunshop.
This receiver, barrels, and all of these parts were manufactured by either the A.H. Fox Gun Company of Philadelphia, PA., or the _________ Arms Company of Utica, N.Y. between 1900 the late 1940’s.  They have been kept and stored in their original factory wooden parts boxes and bins with the original tags and labels.
This is the opportunity to own and build* the Gun and Grade that you wish, from the original A.H. Fox Factory NOS  (new old stock) parts, without having to alter or upgrade an existing gun.
This receiver, barrels, and all other parts, are new, unfitted, and in the white.  *They require proper installation, fitting, functioning, proving and finishing by a qualified double gun gunsmith.
The barrels have no factory markings, nor is the rib yet matted; there is a source for matting with the factory matting machine.  Your choice of barrel lengths, 28”, 30”, 32”.  Prices are $500, $600, and $1500 respectively.  Bores are nominal .662” +- .004” depending on set.  Chokes are uncut, generally full and full, constrictions  .030” - .040” +-.  Chambers are 2 1/2” - 2 3/4”.
A second set of new 16 gauge barrels can be purchased additionally, along with a second forend assembly to enable the building a two barrel set.
The only factory marking on the receiver is the 16 GA. stamp on the left water table.
Each frame is serial numbered as I dispose of them for clarity’s sake, and to distinguish them from original factory assembly/production of a finished arm.  This keeps the history, provenance, and the level of integrity and collectibility for these guns an identifiable and known entity.  The serial number range for these guns is  LASTFOX  1/85  through   LASTFOX  85/85.  This gun is serial number LASTFOX 6/85.   Will ship to FFL only.
For collector’s sake, a set of the factory supplied field grade American Black Walnut is provided with this gun, however, higher grade walnut may be procured elsewhere for building such a gun as this.
The receiver and parts will be packed in one of the factory’s original pine parts boxes, with a Philadelphia parts tag on one end, and a Savage parts tag/label on the other end.
The buttplate is a high quality reproduction.  There is no trigger guard.
There are many extra various small parts included with this gun such as an extra set of action and forend screws to be used as slave screws, extra small ejector parts, and most small (easily lost) springs, pins and screws.
This gun comes with a personalized letter of authenticity detailing the history of these guns and parts.
Price:  $3834,  $3934,  or  $4834  depending on barrels.
These are new original factory parts, well described and depicted - No Returns.  I am more than happy and willing to assist you or your gunsmith with any questions and information before purchasing.
Please call me at (518) 352-1977 Eastern Time.  Thank you.
Sincerely,
Jason Barden.
