Description:
30" medium weight oct bbl with "OLD RELIABLE" marking, Sharps bbl address and cal 45. Likely a 45-70 cal as the cartridge does fit. Good looking rifle with 60-70% aging blue on bbl. Some freckling and light pitting in front of the forearm. A few rub marks to the blue. Receiver has clean smooth metal. Sharps rifle company is visible along with serial number which is 160k range. Color is mostly an aged antique grey/brown. Stock fits nicely to frame and tangs. Metal buttplate with slight shrinkage at the toe. Forearm is also in VG cond with no cracks or losses. Typical solid good functioning Sharps action. Bore is VG. Nice shiny bore with good rifling all the way to the chamber. A little roughness near the throat area. Could easily clean up to look even better. A very nice example of a Historical rifle.
