New York: A Mauser Actioned G&H Sporter Made about 1939 with a 24" barrel with a band front ramp and no barrel sights, Barrel band swivel, Lyman 48 receiver sight, Matted receiver ring, Not drilled or tapped, G&H side mount that is installed exactly like G&H did them with blind screws inside the rail, Leupold 3x9, Two panel teardrop bolt knob checkering, Checkered trigger face, Modern 3-position Model 70 type safety, Checkered "Thumb Print" on the non-hinged floorplate, Jeweled bolt, Classic G&H stock with a horn forend tip, Wrap around point pattern checkering, Steel grip cap, Shadowline cheekpiece, Sling eye on the stock, Nickel silver escutcheon, 14 9/16" LOP over a 1" Silvers pad, 9 lbs. 8 oz., The metal was professionally reblacked a long time ago & now is 96%, The stock re-oiled & now 97%, The checkering is 97%, The bore is excellent plus and looks like the day it left G&H. This is a very nice Griffin & Howe from a period that had a lot of contributions to the future of America's classic custom rifles.
