Description:
Built using the same Technical Data Package as the military M4, the Colt 6920 SOCOM only differs from the government issue model in three ways. First, it lacks the full auto capability of the military model. Second, it has a 16" barrel to meet minimum length requirements as opposed to the 14.5" of the original. And last, it uses a Troy quad rail forend. All materials are mil spec. The bolt and barrel are high pressure tested and magnetic particle inspected. The bolt carrier group is the proper full auto profile and an H2 buffer is installed. These heavier parts help smooth out shooting with hot NATO pressure ammunition. The SOCOM model comes with 4 KAC rail covers, an ambidextrous safety, and a Matech style adjustable rear sight.
