Description:
Bbl stamp is 38 2-1/4" (38-50 Remington Hepburn). 30" medium heavy oct bbl with Windgauge globe front sight, standard bbl rear sight and Vernier tang sight. Nice smooth metal with an aging blue patina. Bore is quite good. Good rifling all the way to the chamber with no pitting. A little light roughness in front of the chamber and may be leading. With just a little cleaning it could clean up to be VG+. Receiver still shows faint case colors. Has the typical grey aging that case colors get. Wood is very nice with most varnish remaining. Nice fitting to the frame with no visible cracks or losses of wood. Hepburns are a good strong rifle and this one is a fine example.
