Those interested in long range shooting, or in the finest waterfowler of yesterday or today, likely know of the Ansley H. Fox "SUPER FOX", the most capable long range gun made in America, or maybe in the world! There is a strong interest in these guns, made so by famous outdoor writer Nash Buckingham in the late 1920's and the following decades. This gun, sn35229 built in 1939, comes with factory documentation showing it shipped just as you see her here, with 32" barrels choked F/F and 3" chambers. The chambers, bore diameters, and chokes are factory correct and unaltered since shipment. Even the red Bradley front sight is noted on the order card, which is included with the purchase of the gun. This is a unique opportunity to find a Super Fox with mirror bores, traces of factory case color, unaltered, and with a rare factory beavertail forearm. The HE Fox has enjoyed enthusiastic growth in value and will continue to do so with only a few hundred in existence, and few in this kind of original factory condition with extra features and solid documentation. With the extreme surge in public interest, the prices on these guns will simply continue to rise, and finding unaltered guns will become increasingly difficult. Now is the time to buy!
I have shot many rounds through various Super Fox guns, and they are amazing. Weighing 8 3/4lbs. they are still easy to swing, yet it is hard NOT TO FOLLOW THROUGH ON THE SWING. We regularly kill pigeons at 75 yards, and they are dead in the air. I can just imagine turkey hunting with this gun. Of course, goose and duck hunting are a given. With the romance of days gone by, and still the best long range gun ever, you can see why they are in such strong demand.
