SUPERB COLT SINGLE ACTION 7 ½” BLACK POWDER .32 W.C.F. CAL. REVOLVER CIRCA 1888 W/FACTORY LETTER. All matching serial numbers in the 126,xxx range. Factory original nickel with 99% plus remaining with minor frosting on barrel that should polish out easily. Small factory ampersand “&” stamped on right rear trigger guard indicating it was back to the factory for repair or refinish. Finish however looks all original and not refinished. Probable repair or had a new barrel and cylinder put on in the period of use as the markings are all correct and mint for the serial range. Mint bore and chambers and looks unused. Shows no evidence of firing. Factory grips excellent with very small chip out of base of right grip at the heal-barely noticeable. Factory letter states it was shipped Sept. 4, 1888 to Hartley & Graham, New York, New York as 7 ½” Nickel, hard rubber in “.32 Rifle Cartridge” in a one gun shipment. Brilliant example and a nice early single action in a scarce caliber.
