Description: Serial #46L1365, .303 British, 25" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1943 dated rifle that has 90-92% of the dark blue finish remaining on the receiver while the balance retains a commensurate amount of the matte black Suncorite finish. The bolt has been renumbered to the rifle and has gray fading along the bearing surfaces with further gray underlying metal visible on the other furniture where the Suncorite has flaked. The rifle was covered in thick cosmoline until recently and there is still quite a bit of residue remaining in protected areas as well as within the fibers of the wood. The walnut forend, buttstock, and handguard have scattered minor handling marks and blemishes throughout with some further armory repairs along the top of the handguard. The rifle is outfitted with a seldom seen, 1950s era Projector (No. 4 Rifle) Mk. 5 grenade launcher/sight assembly (that matches the condition of the rifle) and a single non-matching magazine is included. This is a fine Canadian-made No. 4 with a great original accessory and would make a fantastic addition to any collection. {Ref.
