In 1980 Mr. Patrick Whatley was the managing director of the new W&C Scott shop and had about 26 craftsmen at the facility, most from Webley & Scott. Mr. Whatley began as a gunmaker with Webley & Scott in 1947. Then in 1985 Holland & Holland bought all the assets of W&C Scott and it continued on from there with the Scott and H&H then offered their own new boxlock gun.
