Description:
Serial #15373, .22 RF, 2 1/2” barrel cluster with very good bores that have some dark freckling within the grooves. This is a nice little matching numbered pistol that has a few traces of the original blue remaining on the otherwise lightly pitted, dull gray barrels. The brass frame has an overall pale yellow-ochre patina with a few faint traces of silver remaining, mainly on the sides of the blocky standing breech, and on the butt. The hammer has been cleaned to fairly bright gray, and has moderate pitting throughout. The gutta-percha grips have a moulded vine pattern and are in fine shape with only some very minor surface wear along the high points, and a chip at the heel on the left side. The mechanism is tight, but the full cock sear notch is worn. This is a good-near very good example of a Sharps .22 pepperbox overall. Antique
