Description: This is a large photo with matte that measures 20 1/4" x 23 1/2" depicting a staff grade officer, standing in full dress uniform looking off to the viewer's right. He wears a double-breasted frock coat, brocade sword belt, lanyards, white gauntlets and shoulder scales, with an 1870 pattern officer's sword, and carries the plumed helmet upside down in his right hand (the regimental number, “5" is clearly visible on the helmet plate). The image is crisp and clear, although there is some minor foxing and some further age toning towards the edges. This is a very nice photo, and would look great in a new frame.
