Payment Types Accepted: Credit Card, Money Order, and Cashier's Check Description: This carbine's serial number is 328138 which makes this a first block production carbine. The barrel date is 2-43. From the serial number range this would be one of the very last of the "I" stocks. They started to phase out that style of stock in the 230,000 range. They continued using the "I" stocks mixed with the newer style oval cut stocks until the "I" stocks were all used up. This carbine was purchased from a vet's estate and it was stated that it was a take home from World War Two. It has the correct late "I" stock code of IO with no other markings in the sling slot. It has the early butt plate that would be found on "I" stocks. The hand guard is the wide groove with the IO code. The type one barrel band sling swivel is UI coded. This carbine has never had a type three barrel band installed. The trigger housing is correct for this serial range with a dog leg hammer, Wide face magazine release with serrated surface, Serrated push button safety and other early parts. The sling is the correct khaki early sling with II coded oiler. The bolt is also the correct bolt for this gun. The operating rod has the early partial half circle cut out on the back of the base. The rear sight is the correct style flip sight for this carbine. This gun has not been refinished in any way. The bore is bright with a tight muzzle. The stock and handguard have no cracks or splits. The wood shows very little use. The carbine itself also shows little use or shooting. This is an extremely fine condition unaltered carbine. This carbine would rate a 95% overall condition. This is the type of carbine that collectors dream of finding for their collection! Search for hlvfineguns on google. Curio&Relic LKEE F.
