Description:
This is a double action revolver with nickel finish and engraving. 7mm cal with 6" bbl. A wonderful condition pinfire with nearly all the nickel remaining. Quite ornate engraving on the frame, cylinder , bbl and butt. A very interesting looking gun that is well made and functions excellently. It has a strange cool loading gate which you squeeze together for loading. Then you snap it back into position. The recoil shield is oversized for a unique look. This is either Belgian or French manufactured. There is a very small proof mark with a star that would indicate French along with a VP on the bottom of the bbl. Not sure about the origin but it does come in a presentation box that almost certainly is French indicated by both a tag on the liner and the actual marking on the felt inside the lid. Also there is an old tin cartridge box inside that is for Lefaueleus Revolver which certainly is French. The box itself is a work of art. It has tools, a very cool brass bottle, compartments and room for this revolver to fit perfectly. If you are tired of collecting the same old stuff this would be something unique and a great conversation piece . Very nice!
