This gun has an unusual wartime history. The gun has lanyard loop installed on the left side of the grip. The loop, I have been told, was installed by the French after the gun was captured it from Germans. The condition is really very beautiful. The slide retains about all of the original blue. Just some slight edge silvering with some scattered light scratches and nicks. The frame just some very slight edge wear. The right side of the barrel and slide are stamped Eagle/N. The left of the frame and slide are stamped Eagle/WaA159. The total finish is about 96%. The major loss is the rear grip strap that shows some mild toning to gray. There are no pits or rust anywhere. All parts match. The black Bakelite grips are perfect, also showing little or no wear. The bore is super nice, sharp and crisp with little or no graying. The gun comes with one proper Walther finger grip magazine, one flat bottomed Walther magazine, and one Nazi Walther holster marked Chambach, Berlin 1942 and an Eagle/Swastika. This is a rare original Walther rig priced reasonably for the critical collector.
