FINE EARLY BATTY U.S. 1841-44 CLASPED HANDS PEACE POWDER FLASK. RILING #858. 9”o/a. Excellent motifs and beautiful dark patina and some lacquer. Good seam. Early “round” circle of stars type as opposed to the oval of the later type. Retains part of the original leather strap. Charger old replacement but looks correct and works well. Scarce and for use with the U.S. Model 1817 Common Rifle and the Model 1841 Mississippi. Seminole Wars and Mexican War era.
