Colt Civilian 1st model Dragoon with US military markings. This is a fine condition Dragoon that has all matching parts except for the wedge that is correct type but not numbered. “US” stamp on the left side of the frame and a couple of inspector marks on the grip frame (see photos). The steel parts of the gun are showing a nice/even brown patina. The brass grip frame and back strap still retain about 25% original silver. Very good bore and very good mechanically. Full disclosure is that I have put in a new “hand & spring” assembly that was missing from the revolver. Very good condition original walnut grips and good original varnish. This is a very nice example of a hard to fine 1st Model Civilian Dragoon. Nice varnish on grips, no cartouche on Civilian models. Serial number: 3994. It comes with what's left of a holster that may or may not be original!
