Description:
The Dakota Model 76 is one of the most desirable hunting rifles in the world, proven on every continent, in every climate and on every type of game. Exemplifying the very best of bolt action innovation with exquisite lines and impeccable shot to shot precision, it has deservedly taken its place among the legendary rifles of the 20th and 21st centuries.
This very gently used African in the hard hitting 416 Rigby caliber features a XXX grade walnut stock with a shadow line Monte Carlo cheekpiece, hand cut point checkering (wrap around on forend), an ebony forend tip and ebony plugged stock cross bolts. The stock is satin finished, has a skeleton metal grip cap and a leather wrapped recoil pad yielding a 14.25” length of pull. Sitting atop the 24” barrel is a single blade quarter rib rear sight mated with a banded, window hooded front fiber optic sight. The bolt handle is three panel checkered. The barrel band and inletted rear swivel studs make mounting a sling easy. A straddle floorplate with inside release and a drop belly magazine compliment this fine rifle. The metal has a matte blued finish. A set of Talley bases is included. There are a few light handling marks in stock.
