Description:
28" oct bbl which has been trimmed about 3/8". Evidently it was dropped and damaged the muzzle and cut back slightly. Not noticeable unless you are really in tune to Winchester 1873's. The bbl is an antique brown color. Receiver was cleaned years ago and is a silver/grey. It does have the thumbprint dust cover. Set trigger which needs a little adjustment. Does not set correctly at this time. Buttstock is in nice overall cond. Dark wood with some oil soaking and most likely a coat of oil was added years ago. No cracks or losses. Serial number in the 23k range. Bore has strong rifling. Very light pitting in a couple areas and typical frosting. Bore would be at least good if not VG with a cleaning. Any first model is hard to get now days and especially with an extra length bbl.
