WW1 WINCHESTER U.S. MODEL 1885 LOW WALL .22 SHORT WINDER MUSKET CIRCA 1918. Also correctly named the Model 87. Serial number in the 132,xxx range and all original and matching in excellent plus condition. 90-95% original blue. Just some minor slight dark flaking on the frame. And slight patina mixed evenly with the very nice original blue. Government inspected behind hammer ‘U S/ORDNANCE BOMB”. Excellent markings with crisp barrel address and nice “WINCHESTER” trade mark marking on tang. Excellent walnut stock and forend with the original finish. Original Lyman manufactured Winchester Low Wall receiver sight and original sling swivels. Working order and mint bore.
