EXCELLENT WW1 WINCHESTER U.S. MODEL 1917 MILITARY RIFLE DATED 1918. Serial numbered in the 208,xxx range. Barrel dated and proofed behind the front sight “W/ORDNANCE BOMB/3-18”. 100% original with 95% plus original Winchester blue finish as originally issued and not a post War rework. Some minor patination on the trigger guard/floor plate but nicely mixed with blue. Exceptional stock and handguard with the original finish and only a few very minor dings. Perfect inspector’s stamp behind the trigger guard. Perfect working order and mint bore. Nicest Winchester U.S. 1917 we have had in years.
