WINCHESTER MODEL 61 HAMMERLESS .22 S.L. OR L.R. CAL. RIFLE CIRCA 1944. All original early production with un-grooved rust blue receiver. Serial in the 60,xxx range and all matching and original. 95% original blue and stock varnish. Perfect working order and mint bore. Shows only light wear and has only a few minor stock dings. Left side of frame with the letters “BR” very faintly visible thru the blue. Possible ghostlike remains of a wiped off magic marker marking. Can only be seen if held in the right light. Nice WW2 example with the early factory bright blue receiver finish.
