Description:
Spanish Mauser Oviedo chambered for the 7X57 mm shell with a 22" barrel with a good to very good bore. Sharp rifling, and very fine corrosion in the grooves from corrosive primers. The metal on this gun is mostly painted black with a few patches of very fine pits. The military crest on the top of the receiver is OVIEDO, and dated 1906.A handy carbine, with a long history of rugged built guns for military use. Wood is very good, and is a sporter stock, and may have had finish added long ago! The butt-plate is brown rubber . Comes with sling swivels installed and the chromed bolt has the handle hollowed for the mounting of a scope , but the receiver has not holes drilled for a scope mount. Front and rear sight is military issue. Would make a good carry rifle, and comes with a green fabric sling with leather keepers.We don’t have a web site .I prefer money orders or a check.
