Description:
A very nice Pre 64 Model 70 Carbine in .30-06. This rifle was built in the last year that Winchester offered a carbine in this caliber. 98% original bluing. 20” barrel with a clean, shiny bore. Matching serial numbers on the receiver and bolt. Clover leaf receiver tang. Original Winchester 22G rear sight. Original silver bead front sight on stippled sight ramp with original sight hood. There is some light bluing wear just ahead of the receiver. The steel floorplate retains 99% of it’s bluing. The standard low comb stock retains 99% of it’s original finish with a few handling dings and marks. Wide checkering. Original 13.5” length of pull. Original sling swivels. The steel buttplate retains 80% of it’s bluing with some pitting.
