Description:
Beautiful high condition 10ga hammer gun by J.H.Johnson of Pittsburgh.Built in the late 1880s or early 1890s,this classic hammer gun has 30" fine damascus barrels with mint bores. The is no rust, pits,or dents in either barrel. The wall thickness averages .045"and the barrels are on face and lock up tightly. The barrels retain at least 95%of the damascus pattern. The action still retains traces of the original case colors. The action is finely sculpted and scroll engraved. The stock is free of any cracks or gouges. The forend has one tiny sliver of wood missing on the right side, but no cracks or other damage. The stock has the original steel buttplate that is numbered to the gun.The hammer springs are strong and crisp and the triggers break cleanly. The hamers are rebounding hammers. This gun is in remarkable condition for a gun that is over 120 years old. This would make a fun gun to shoot at vintage shoots with light loads or a fine addition to your collection.Antique,so it can be legally shipped direct or to a C&R.
