Although this Superposed Lightning was produced during the time period when Browning was experiencing metal corrosion on its firearms due to the salt curing of stocks, this particular example does not seem to have been affected.

Metal Condition: Barrels have some slight bluing loss at the muzzles from casing, but the vast majority of blue remains. The receiver shows wear from carrying on the bottom, sides adjacent to the bottom, triggerguard and lower tang.
Wood Condition: Both stock and forend carry marks and indentations consistent with those found on a field gun that has been used for its designed purpose, but overall, they are superficial and minor in nature.
Bore Condition: Bright bores.
