Description:
Serial #1604, 7mm Mauser, 24” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. With only 4000 built this is a seldom seen rifle that retains 97-98% of the original brushed blue finish that has silvered slightly at the muzzle and along a few of the exposed edges and surfaces. The matching numbered bolt has begun to develop some mild surface freckling on its handle and on the shroud. The Guatemalan crest on the receiver is crisp and clear, as are the Czech proofs, and CZ markings along the side wall. The European walnut stock is numbered to the gun on the left side of the butt, and has some small handling marks and minor surface blemishes scattered about the otherwise excellent original military oil finish. There are some spots of wear along the belly of the butt where the finish has thinned, most noticeably towards the toe. The rifle comes with an original armory bright cleaning rod, and is a fantastic, non-import marked example of a rarely encountered Central American VZ.24 variant. FFL or C&R
