Description:
This 1906 dated bayonet remains in excellent condition with very light freckles of staining on the bright blade. Guard and pommel retain 80% blue with light staining. Pommel but shows a small area of impact marks. The early style small groove grips look great with no blemishes. This comes in an excellent second type 1906 dated RIA long throat leather covered scabbard with clear stampings and very few scuffs. Throat and hanger show 70% blue with oxidation stains. The back of belt hanger has an area of oxidation. There are some impact marks on the pommel as seen in the photos. A rare early 1905 bayonet in great condition with a great matching date scabbard. It is noted that SA they built only 2100 bayonets in 1906
