#3807 Bacon Manufacturing Pepperbox, 4”x31caliber percussion, S/A underhammer design, standard ribbed barrel group. Fine metal with a faint thin patina, fine grips, fine action, fine markings, and if it just had a bit more finish, it would rate as “Fine”. The Bacon is not a commonly found maker of pepperboxes at all, made between 1852-1858 with only 200 produced! This is a very decent and very scarce pepperbox but just with no significant finish.
